Function takes a beautiful form to supercharge student success in this total transformation.
As an integral part of their larger rebrand, Level up RN—an ecommerce company dedicated to equipping nursing students to conquer the vast amounts of memorization and skills required to become a nurse—entrusted me to transform their signature product: their study flashcards.
Together with their team of expert nurses, we tackled streamlining the content of the cards and then intently designed custom boxes and tabs for each of LRN’s expanding line of 13 flashcard sets.
Additionally, we created a study-on-the-go box and a comprehensive combo-pack known as the Nursing School Survival Kit.
BEFORE:
Flashcards were text-heavy and any white space was filled with miscellaneous and decorative icons. Card sets were loose and delivered shrink-wrapped.
NOW:
Through a painstaking process, alongside the LRN nurse team, we cut the flashcard content to only the essentials and created visual hierarchy and connections using color blocking, icons, more clearly differentiated type styling, and more engaging messaging.
These strategic changes point students to the most critical information they need and, coupled with coordinating videos from the nurse team, create a system for learning that promises to help students conquer their classes, pass their exam, and become practicing nurses.
